Natalya Shtutman, M.D.

ABOUT

Dr. Natalya Shtutman is a Physiatrist who is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She has extensive experience in Pain Management and Musculoskeletal Disorders. She completed a three-year Residency Training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2004 from the University of California Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. Dr. Shtutman joined the Spine & Nerve family in 2015. Her background in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation as well as in Pain Management has given her the skills to help her patients to improve physical health and functioning, diminish pain and emotional suffering, and regain meaningful lives. Besides pain medications, she incorporates into her treatment plans other techniques and modalities such as exercise, anti-inflammatory and healing nutrition, yoga, meditation, acupuncture, and cognitive behavioral therapy. She helps her patients return back to work and to their hobbies and activities. Dr. Shtutman is a consummate health professional who takes pride in helping people in need whenever she can.

  • Dr. Shtutman obtained her medical degree from Moscow Medical Academy in 1987, completed her internship at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, and had residency at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. She is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and is licensed to practice in the State of California.
  • She has practiced as a Physician at Roseville Pain and Rehabilitation Medical Clinic, All Med Medical Center, and Asclepius Pain Management.
  • Dr. Shtutman completed special research into the incidence of venous thromboembolism in the spinal cord injury population, on which she presented a paper at the 2003 AAPM&R conference in Chicago.
